Still here...

I've searched the internet all day so far. I found a website: Writerscafe.org. I really like it. I've posted many stories, poems, works in progress that I have been working on. There's a HUGE community; just waiting for some responses!!

Read my work:  http://www.writerscafe.org/amandaxrose7390/writing/

I've also downloading the Amazon Kindle for my PC (it's free!) Amazon offered a free "how-to" guide to self publishing your books for their Kindles. As soon as i finsh one of my THREE novels i'm working on, i will definetly be uploading it onto Kindle. you set your own price: and get 35-70% royalties. Awesome.

There are also many online writing contests to enter. I've entered 2 contests in the past; didn't win either one. I'm just not sure what they're looking for. I feel my writing is unique enough to stand out among hundreds of contestants, but I guess that's just because it is mine.

I caved in and bought issues of three literary journals that seemed to be along the same lines of my writing. I figured i'd get to know what the editors like, then get a better feel if my work will fit in. just a thought.

I'm not sure what genre i write in. I don't think I have a genre. I don't think I want one. I've uploaded a few stories onto writer's cafe, and not one of them was alike. Fantasy, family, gay, sci-fi, erotica, and everything in between.

Do you think i'd have a better chance if i chose one and stuck to it?
